Windscreens.-In a vehicle windscreen of the kind comprising two or more sections which are mounted upon a central support, e.g. on the rear of the front seat, and two side supports adapted to be secured to the doors, a number of sections is provided to give both front and side protection, the central sections d, d<1> being pivoted to the central support c and the side sections d<2>, d<3> being secured to the doors, and the central sections, when the doors are opened, being arranged to be drawn away from the central support so as to permit a free passage through the doorways. In the arrangement shown, the frames h, h<1> of the central sections are slidable upon pairs of rods f, g and f<1>, g<1> pivoted at e to the support c, while the frames of the side sections are extended at their inner edges to form supports i, i<1> engaging sockets on the doors k, k<1>. The frames may be covered with a suitable material secured by stitching m, and a draughtproof joint at the junction of the two central sections may be obtained by an overlapping of the sections or by the provision of a V-shaped strip of metal or shield l, Fig. 2. An apron is preferably attached to the lower edges of the sections to cover in the space between the back of the front seat, side of the car, and the screen.
