Spray carburettors.-Relates to carburettors of the type in which the fuel jet e is regulated by a needle valve f connected to a bulb-shaped air valve m operated by engine suction or by hand within a bulb-shaped casing a, a rich mixture. obtained by passing some of the air through a passage d over the jet and through an exhaust-heated tube k, being passed into the stream of air at a point beyond the air-valve. The invention consists in introducing the rich mixture into the casing as an axial jet a<2> leading from a bridge-piece a<1> from which depends a rod a<3>, which forms with the bulbous air valve a guide and dash-pot m<1>. The fuel jet o with its adjustable liner g depend into a float chamber h mounted directly below the carburettor casing. The contracted upper end of the liner g is adjured relatively to the needle f by a screwdriver inserted through a hole closed by a plug i. When the carburettor is used with paraffin, the engine is started with a petrol jet u which is brought into action by turning a cock t.
