Abstract

217,425. Halliday, T. E., and Halliday Engineering Co., Ltd. June 25, 1923. Spray carburettors.-Moistened air is added to the mixture through a valve, the stem of which passes through and' is adjustably connected to the spindle of the throttle, valve. A nozzle C discharges into a choke tube B surrounded by other choke tubes and by a suction actuated spring-loaded valve D the flange D<2> of which controls air inlets E. The spindle H<2> of the throttle valve H is hollow and through it is passed the stem K<2> of a barrel type valve K which controls additional air and into the interior of which a water nozzle M discharges. The moistened air passes to the mixture stream through ports J. Arms H<3>, K<3> on the throttle and extra air valves may be adjustably interconnected by a slot and pin H<4> or by a spring and stop.
