150,260. Kermode, J. J. May 23, 1919. Liquid-fuel supply.-In order to allow a reduced supply of liquid fuel to flow to the burners of steam-generators when the engine is not running, a piston valve H is arranged in the fuelsupply pipe O<1> and is adapted to be operated by a foot-lever M through an arm m<1> and. rod m<2>. The valve is provided with peripheral grooves h<1> which are closed when the piston is pushed to the end k<3> of the cylinder except for a by-pass passageh<3> leading from one of the grooves h<1> to a recess h<4> in the end of the piston and permitting a reduced flow of fuel to the port k<2> leading to the burner. A spring m<3> retains the valve in its normal position.
