Abstract

1426772 Ventilators DANFOSS AS 7 March 1973 [5 May 1972] 38947/75 Divided out of 1426771 Heading F4V An air outlet for an air-conditioning installation is arranged in the wall of a room near the ceiling 16, and a pivoted baffle 12 is provided to direct the air across the ceiling and allow the size of the opening 7 to increase as the pressure of the air supplied increases, the baffle being biased towards the closed position by a weighted lever 17 arranged at an angle α 0 so that the biasing force diminishes progressively as the baffle closes. The arrangement is such that the effective size of the outlet opening is proportional to the pressure in the supply chamber, the issuing air then tending to adhere to the ceiling. The weight 18 is adjustable in position along the lever 17. It may be replaced by a non-linear spring.
