Abstract

1473515 Conditioned air supply devices SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN AB 2 May 1974 [7 May 1973] 19381/74 Heading F4V An air supply device for delivering air from an air conditioning installation to a space comprises a casing defining a chamber 4 having an air inlet in the form of an apertured wall 2 in which adjacent apertures 3 are identical and equidistantly spaced and an air outlet in the form of a fixed grille 11 opposite the wall 2, the length L of the chamber 4 between wall 2 and grille 11 being not less than three times the distance d between adjacent aperture centres, and the casing comprising means for adjusting the throw length of air passing in use through the grille 11. In the form shown, secondary air from the space is induced into the chamber 4 through an opening 9 controlled by a slidable cover 8, and the opening 9 and cover 8 provide said means for adjusting the throw length. In another embodiment (Fig. 2), secondary air is induced into the chamber (4a) through the grille 11, and the casing is formed by two telescopically arranged tubes (7a, 7b).
