Abstract

1305177 Ventilators AR-VENTILATION AB 28 May 1971 [24 June 1970] 17895/71 Heading F4V An air distribution unit for mounting in the ceiling of a room comprises a casing 10 subdivided by a partition 14 into a plenum chamber 16 and an air distributing chamber 18 which communicate via a gap between a tubular section 24 around an opening 26 in the partition 14 and a cap 22 which has a wall 20 surrounding and spaced from the section 24, which cap is displaceable towards and away from the partition 14. A screw 32 for adjusting the position of the cap 22 is accessible by removing an apertured plate 44. The plate 44 has a flange 48 with apertures 50 whose flow crosssection may be varied by altering the overlap between the flange 48 and a portion 52 of the partition 14. Sound insulating pads 54, 56 and an electrical resistance heating element 58 are provided.
