Abstract
1406159 Knitting machines NOVA TEC ESTABLISHMENT 24 May 1973 23671/73 Heading D1C A superposed cylinder knitting machine wherein the thread is fed through a fixed thread guide 2 and passing cutting means has suction intakes 5 on the outer periphery of the needle ring to retain cut thread ends. Yarn is fed through a guide 2 and may be held by a pivoting or sliding suction intake 5 or a pivoted pressure clamp 7 being severed by cutting means 4. When the yarn is severed, the intake 5 is moved towards the guide 2 and yarn supply so that yarn is sucked in after which the clamp 7 comes down on the yarn and intake 5 is returned to its previous position thus pulling out a length of yarn.
