RUDOLF SCHIEBER KG 21 May 1974 [21 May 1973] 22738/74 Heading D1C In a flat bed knitting machine with circulating carriages, when the thread 1 is released from the clamp 3 on being taken by the first needle of a needle bed, the trailing end is sucked into a nozzle 6, 6a at that end of the needle bed. Nozzles 6, 6a may be adjustable. Thread 1 is drawn from a spool and passes through guide 2 to the needles being cut off at the end of a needle zone 13, 13a and gripped by clamp 3 on guide 2 which is opened by a wedge 5 at the beginning of a needle zone.
