Abstract

1,208,021. Knitting-machines. NEWMARK INSTRUMENTS Ltd. 15 Jan., 1968 [25 Jan., 1967], No. 3717/67. Heading D1C. A yarn feeding device for a knitting machine comprises a pair of rollers 10, 11 between which the yarn is gripped and which are driven by a band 17, chain or the like engaging reduced diameter parts 10c, 11c in an 'S' shaped path. Feeding devices at each station of a multi-feed machine are driven by a common endless band. Several yarns may be fed between each pair of rollers, and guides associated with the rollers are adjustable axially of the rollers to aid setting-up or allow rear-positive yarn feed.
