Abstract

1446808 Knitting machines UNIVERSAL MASCHINENFABRIK DR RUDOLF SCHIEBER KG 26 July 1974 [27 July 1973] 33231/74 Heading D1C The sliding cam box 5 of a flat-bed knitting machine is provided with a needle retaining bar 7 extending longitudinally thereof for holding the needles in their tricks during the knitting operation, the bar being resiliently mounted, as by bolts 8 and springs 9, so as to yield on contact with a protruding needle which is jammed in its trick. The bar 7 may be of metal or plastics.
