Abstract

1,133,066. Knitting-machines. E. MAYER [trading as MAYER & CIE.]. 13 Oct., 1967, No. 46794/67. Heading D1C. Needle cams 11, 18 in the dial or cylinder of a circular machine are mounted on the end of a cylindrical member 7 which is releasably retained in the cam block 10 having cams forming a raceway for the needle butts. Consequently in addition to the member 7 being capable of being rotated to adjust the position of its cam to enable stitch variation to be achieved it can also be withdrawn and replaced by a member having a different cam formation without the necessity of removing the rest of the raceway or cam block. The cylindrical members are located by pins 13 secured in a head portion 12 projecting into locating holes 14 in the cam block 10. Additionally the face cams adjacent the member 7 may overlap the member to secure it in position in the block.
