Abstract
1428201 Knitting-machines SINGER CO 23 May 1973 [9 June 1972] 24640/73 Heading D1C A circular machine having rotatable inclined pattern wheels includes cams engaging the needles and guiding their butts into the wheel slots. In one embodiment the cam 32 is fixed to one cam section block 10 and overlies the pattern wheel 22' of the adjacent block 10. The cam extends from above a raise cam 12 to a point at which needle butts enter the corresponding slots; it is extended by a surface 54 parallel to the wheel. In a second embodiment, Figure 4, the guiding cam is constituted by a lower surface 56 of a guard cam 18a above the raise cam of the same block.
