Abstract

1382289 Knitting-machines ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 6 Oct 1972 [14 Oct 1971] 46087/72 Heading D1C In a circular machine plush loop sinkers are selectively prevented from moving radially inwards to the plush loop-forming position by blocking members in the needle tricks. The members may be constituted by the needles or separate elements mounted in the tricks. In the embodiment shown sinkers are prevented from advancing by raising selected needles so that surface 42 is aligned with a lateral butt 43 of the sinker. The sinkers are pivoted about the butt 43 by springs 56 so that a projection 59 engages the edge of sinker ring 47 preventing further sinker movement. The remaining sinkers are advanced by the springs, when sinker cam ring 50 allows. To select the needles, needle selector jacks 20 are divided into two groups by a pattern drum and move along tracks 23a, b. Selected needles are thus raised higher than the remainder along path 36c, so that the butts 42 are opposite sinker butts 43.
