Abstract

1,121.525. Knitting-machines. FRANZ MORAT G.m.b.H. 5 Aug., 1965 [6 Aug., 1964], No. 33616/65. Heading D1C. In a multifeed cylinder and dial machine the rib needles are electromagnetically selectable at each knitting station to advance the needles to a knitting position. Each needle 101 has a butt 5a and grooves 5b-c engageable by the projecting arm 6c of a jack 6. Arms 6c are pressed into notches 5b by springs 7 not selected by an electromagnet and lowered by cams K2. Springs 7 selected by the electromagnet are raised and permit the arm to engage notch 5c when the jack is moved radially outwards. Unselected needles 'remain in a projected position and take yarn and knit prior to the next selection. The control and advance of the needles is substantially the same as that of the pattern wheel jacks described in Specification 1,009,624.
