Abstract

1,139,539. Knitting-machines. SCHUBERT & SALZER MASCHINENFABRIK A.G. 3 May, 1967 [5 May, 1966], No. 20564/67. Addition to 1024271. Heading D1C. A yarn clamping and severing device in a two feed circular knitting machine comprises a serrated ring 403 which rotates with the needle circle and carries a yarn which has been taken out of operation under a clamp 210, the yarn being then severed in any known manner and the yarn end being removed by suction. The cam is downwardly spring biassed and is opened by a cam 404. The ring 403 may be continuous or may be in the form of sections which cover only the parts of the ring which operate when a yarn is taken out of operation.
