Connecting-rods. - In an aerial engine having two or more groups of cylinders arranged around a single crank, the auxiliary connecting-rods d are pivoted to the big-ends of master connecting- rods a, which are secured to flanges on a bush b on the crank-pin. Each auxiliary rod is connected to the big-end of a master-rod by a sleeve c, through which passes a bolt e which secures the big-end to the flange on the bush b. The head of the bolt e bears on a washer g, and shoulders on the head and on the nut enter the sleeve c. The bush is lined with antifriction metal and provided with cooling-fins.
