Abstract
1399757 Automatic control of fuel supply MITSUBISHI JUKOGYO KK 17 Nov 1972 [17 Nov 1971] 53146/72 Heading G3N [Also in Division F1] The lift of the valve pintle 6A of a fuel injector 1, 2, 3, 4 is controlled in accordance with engine load and speed to provide an optimum form of fuel spray. Fuel from a chamber 27, pressurized to a constant pressure by a supply pump 26, is fed to the injector through an on-off valve 28. A regulator 29 provides a signal corresponding to engine speed and load which is fed to a controller 30 providing signals to operate the valve 28. A controller 32, receiving a speed and load signal from the regulator 29, a fuel flow-rate signal from the controller 30 and a timing signal from a detector 33, provides a current to an electromagnet 23 which positions a rod 6B to determine the lift of the pintle 6A.
