Abstract

1392286 Carton blanks UNILEVER Ltd 5 April 1972 [5 April 1971] 8653/71 Heading B8P Blanks are cut out so that the sum, viz. the. length F, of the greatest length D of a major end closure flap 12 and the length C of a minor end closure flap, if present, is no greater than the width A of a minor panel 4, 6 and so that the width E of a maximum portion 13 of each major end closure flap 12 is also no greater than the width A. In further embodiments (not shown) the steps between the maximum and the remianing portions 13, 14 of the major end closure flaps 12 are curved, Fig. 3 or the remaining portions 14 are tapered away from the associated maximum portions 13, (Figs. 5 and 7) or only one major end closure flap on each side of the blank has a stepped configuration. The length of the minor panels may be less than the length of the major panels.
