Abstract

1385411 Copper alloys TOYO VALVE CO Ltd 11 Aug 1972 [11 Aug 1971 1 March 1972 2 March 1972 3 March 1972] 37468/72 Heading C7A A copper-base alloy comprises by weight:- 3 to 10% aluminium 0À1 to 5% tin 0À1 to 5% zinc 0À1 to 5% lead up to 5% nickel up to 3% manganese up to 5% iron and up to 0À1% beryllium the balance being copper together with a maximum of 1% of impurity or incidental ingredients. The alloys are preferably prepared by melting the required constituents, generally in the form of master alloys with copper or as scrap, degassing with nitrogen or argon, testing the melt by solidifying and examining a sample, and pouring into moulds.
