Abstract

1312725 Copper nickel alloys LANGLEY ALLOYS Ltd 28 Oct 1971 [2 Nov 1970] 52089/70 Heading C7A Acopper-nickel alloy comprises in weight per cent: at least 9% but less than 15% nickel, 1À4 to 2% aluminium at least 3% but less than 5% manganese 0À5 to 1À5% iron optionally, up to 2% chromium the balance being copper. This alloy exhibits increased ductility at elevated temperatures, especially in the range 550‹ C to 700‹C, and is particularly suited to forging at these temperatures.
