Abstract

1291553 Magnesium base alloys NORSK HYDRO A S 9 Jan 1970 1264/70 Heading C7A Magnesium base alloys containing:- Al 5À5-10% Bi 0À1-0À4% or Sn 0À1-0À4% Zn 0À3-2%, with optional additions of up to 0À5% Cu, up to 0À5% Mn, up to 0À5% Si and sufficient Be to inhibit burning or oxidation, the balance, apart from impurities, being Mg are used for making castings which because of their shape or design are particularly liable to hot cracking since they have a low hot crack susceptibility.
