Abstract

1350643 Aluminium alloy SOUTHWIRE CO 18 Oct 1971 48416/71 Headings C7A and C7D An aluminium alloy containing one or more of Cu, Fe, Si, Ti, B, Cr, Mn, V, Ga, Zn and Mg is produced by charging a furnace with pure aluminium and scrap aluminium alloys so as to form a melt wherein:- wherein y = 64À9 and x = 61À9-62À5 or y = 65À2 and x = 61À0-61À89 and T is the tensile strength of the alloy, lying between 12, 000 and 27, 000 p.s.i. The Al content of the final alloy is at least 99À45%.
