Canopies and hoods; dampers; supports for articles tc be heated. - A canopy for domestic fire-places and ranges is formed of overlapping plates a, b connected by bolts passing through slots b<1>, so that the canopy may be fitted to fireplaces of different widths. A movable draught-regulator is similarly formed of plates g, h and is pivoted at its lower corners, as shown at B<1>. It is held in position by a rack-bar j or other appliance, and its upper edge may be cut away at h<1> to form a small draught opening when the edge contacts with the canopy. A trivet k is pivoted in a suitable part of the grate, or in a bracket secured to the grate.
