Abstract

136,432. Brown, J. March 28, 1919. Cooking-stoves.-A combination range and sitting-room fire-place consists of a fire-grate 1, an oven at one side of it, and a hinged hot-plate 3 adapted to be swung upwards into a position, shown in dotted lines, inclining forwards from bottom to top. The stove may have a boiler 8 with connexions 9 which are concealed when the hot-plate is raised. As it is raised, it opens the damper 14 by means of the push-rod 15 and the lever 12. It is retained in its raised position by one or more catches 10. The oven side of the grate consists of a grated brick 6, through which the gases flow to both the bottom and near side flues and thence to the top oven flue.
