Abstract

137,644. Copson, T. C. Feb. 17, 1919. Spray carburettors.-A carburettor as described in Specification 136,685, having a rotatable atomizing-tube controlling the fuel supply, is modified so that the same float chamber can be fitted either on the right or on the left of the mixing-chamber. The float chamber B is provided with a lug B<2> which fits on a sleeve E surrounding the rotatable atomizing-tube C, the lug B<2> being so placed that the float chamber can be fitted with either end B<3> or B<4> next to the mixing-chamber. The fuel passage from the float chamber to the atomizing- tube may pass through the centre of the lug B<2>; or there may be two fuel passages F, G symmetrically arranged so that the one not in use is blanked off by the sleeve E.
