Abstract

Carburetting.-In a carburettor for internalcombustion engines, a wick e is mounted between concentric walls c, d in an annular float chamber a, the fuel having access to the wick through holes j. Air is admitted through permanently open holes f to an annular passage g, and passes through holes h and the wick to holes i leading to the induction pipe of the engine. Air is also admitted through ports k, under the control of a suctionactuated piston n, spring p, hand-controlled lever q, and dash-pot o, and extra air may also be admitted through a pipe r.
