Abstract

17,513. McCullum, J. G. July 24. Actuating.-Air is admitted to the induction pipe of an internal-combustion engine by a valve which is actuated by the movements of an atomizer impelled by the gaseous current in the pipe. The air-valve 5 on the induction pipe 1 is connected by a chain or the like 4 to the spindle 3 of the atomizer. This consists of a fan or oppositely-rotated fans 2 adapted to move axially upon an increase of speed of the mixture current. The valve is loaded at 6. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 20,087/14.
