1337116 Sludge burner WINTERSHALL AG 20 Nov 1970 55387/70 Heading F4T In an arrangement for the incineration of pumpable liquid/solid mixtures, such mixtures are supplied via a swash-plate pump 11 to the inlet end 4 of a nozzle pipe 2, which is also supplied with primary air at a point 5 to control the rate of flow of sludge to a nozzle outlet 3, from which the sludge issues to be incinerated. Secondly air is supplied via a valve 8 and is swirled by means of baffle plates 9. Part of the output of the pump 11 is returned to container 10 which may be supplied with steam via pipe 23. Combustion takes place in a rotary drum 16.
