Abstract

1,150,265. Suppling liquid fuel to burners. G. A. WESTMONT. 2 May, 1966 [23 Oct., 1965], No. 19283/66. Heading F4T. A burner system for burning heavy oil includes a pump 12 supplying oil to a nozzle 22 from a tank 10 via a heater 14 and valve 17, a tube 42 being provided leading to the inlet side of the pump, via a valve 41, from the tube 19 connecting valve 17 to the nozzle so that when valve 17 is closed to stop the flow of oil through the nozzle 22 valve 41 may be opened to allow the pump to empty the tube 19.
