Abstract
1,203,377. Valves. BENDIX CORP. 28 Oct., 1968 [13 Nov., 1967], No. 50947/68. Heading F2V. [Also in Division F1] A pump 24 supplying fuel via metering valve 30 to a gas-turbine burner 28 is provided with a by-pass line 34 incorporating a jet pump to recover energy from the by-passed fluid. As shown, the latter flows from orifice 48 to a Venturi 42, 44, 46 and in so doing contains a make-up flow through annular gap 50 from source 54. Orifice 48 is controlled by closure member 58 which is positioned by a diaphragm 60 responsive to the pressure drop across valve 30, the arrangement serving to maintain the pressure drop constant at a selected level.
