940,725. Supplying liquid fuels to burners. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. July 12, 1962 [July 3, 1961], No. 23884/61. Heading F4T. A fuel supply system for a plurality of burners 2 includes a plurality of valves 10 for supplying the burners and a plurality of further valves 10a coupled to the valves 10 and connected in series in a line 11 for returning fuel from the supply line 1 to the inlet of the supply pump 5 when all the supply valves 10 are closed. A single twoway valve may be substituted for the two coupled valves 10, 10a. A pressure sensitive device 12 controlling a pump motor 6 is arranged to reduce the pump output when fuel is being re-circulated. A heater 7, two filters 4, 8 and two valves 3, 9 are connected in the supply line 1.
