Abstract

975,884. Liquid fuel supply. WEBASTOWERK G.m.b.H. Oct. 2, 1963 [Nov. 30, 1962], No. 38844/63. Heading F4T. A liquid fuel burner supply comprises an electric diaphragm, piston or gear pump 7 delivering fuel to an intermediate tank 5 from which a constant delivery pump 4 supplies fuel to the burner 1, and a by-pass capillary 13 between the tank 5 and the outlet pipe 13 of the pump 4. The entrance to the capillary 13 is covered by a sintered metal filter 14 and is always above the inlet to the suction pipe 6 of the pump 4. The cross-section of the delivery pipe 3 at the junction with the capillary 13 is such that the pressure in the intermediate tank 5 is greater than the pressure at the junction and consequently oil flows along the capillary towards the burner. Air bubbles pass along the capillary 13. The pump 7 is spring controlled to give a constant pressure or may have a pressure release valve or recycling-pipe. A blower 2 may be included to deliver air and the fuel to the burner 1.
