Abstract
1,048,168. Supplying liquid fuel to burners. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. Oct. 21, 1965 [May 13, 1965], No. 44532/65. Heading F4T. Oil fuel is delivered from a tank 5, Fig. 1 (not shown), to a burner 1 by compressed air delivered to the. tank 5 by a compressor 10 driven by an electric motor, and a conduit 15 having a valve 16 supplies oil fuel for lubrication from the tank 5 to the compressor 10 and motor. The level of fuel oil in the tank 5 is kept within limits by a valve 7 actuated by a level regulator. Combustion air is supplied to the burner from the top of the tank 5. An oil separating filter is disposed between the compressor and the tank 5. A vent valve 14 for the tank is provided. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the compressor and its motor are mounted within the fuel tank above the fuel level and the end of the crankshaft is constructed to draw oil fuel through a tube 22 extending from the compressor to below the oil level.
