Abstract

1,097,350. Spray carburetters. SOCIETE INDUSTRIELLE DE BREVETS ET D'ETUDES. June 16, 1966 [June 24, 1965], No.27013/66. Heading F1B. In a device for dividing a supply of aerated fuel from an inlet pipe 1 between outlets 2 leading to nozzles in the intake pipes, a by-pass circuit 4, 5, 6, returns excess fuel from the inlets 2a of pipes 2 back to the pipe 1. The pipe 1 may be connected to the pipes 2 by separate pipes 3 or by a common chamber and the return system 4-6 may comprise separate pipes 5 or an annular chamber (9) Fig. 3 (not shown). The return pipes 6 may be inclined so that the flow in pipe 1 produces a suction in the by-pass circuit; alternatively the pipes 6 may open into a Venturi in the pipe 1.
