Abstract

1334195 Printing apparatus ADAMOVSKE STROJIRNY NARODNI PODNIK 25 Jan 1972 [1 Feb 1971] 3457/72 Heading B6C An impression cylinder has within it an eccentrically mounted shaft 4, grippers 1 upon which project through the surface of the cylinder by way of separate apertures 22. The grippers are actuated by co-operation of a cam follower, which is secured to the shaft 4, with a cam 1 which is rotatably mounted at one end of, e.g. on the supporting axial shaft of, the impression cylinder and is held stationary by an arm 17, by a pin 18 on the frame of the pringing jachine of which the impression cylinder is part and by a securing nut. The opening and closing positions of the grippers can be adjusted by slackening the nut and moving the arm 17 within the limits imposed by a slot. A shaped aperture 19, 21 allows removal of the shaft 4 and the grippers 6. In use, a roller 30 may urge sheets 28 against the impression cylinder and a shaped segment 31 may guide their removal when the grippers open.
