Abstract

1377016 Cylinder adjustment ROTAPRINT GmbH 19 Oct 1972 48290/72 Heading B6C An offset printing machine has its offset cylinder 5 mounted for adjustment reltive to the forme cylinder 6 and impression cylinder 7 so that the offset cylinder is moved toward or away from the forme cylinder along an arc of a circle centred on the line joining the centres of the offset and impression cylinders and is also movable away from both forme and impression cylinders along the arc of a circle centred on a line parallel to the line joining the centres of the forme and impression cylinders and passing through the cente of the offset cylinder. The bearing 13 for the offset cylinder is mounted in a quadrilateral linkage 2, 4, 10, 11, which is swingable about a pivot 3. Point 16 of the linkage is movable by a rod 9 to allow adjustment towards and away from both the cylinders. A cam 1 acts on lever 2 for moving the offset cylinder towards and away from the forme cylinder. Rod 9 is fixed by a detent 17 to set the cylinders in a desired orientation.
