Abstract

1327075 Hot-water boilers H VIESSMANN 25 Sept 1970 [27 Dec 1969 28 Jan 1970] 45888/70 Heading F4A A liquid, e.g. water boiler comprises a double walled enclosure 2, 2<SP>1</SP> carrying the liquid and in which is located a liquid or gaseous fuel burner 12 at one end and a combustion gas exhaust port 9 at the other, a double-walled liquid carrying partition 7 having substantially vertical walls and of part oval or part circular horizontal cross-section which defines a combustion chamber 1. Reverse flow gases leave the chamber and pass via flues 4 which may contain gas flow guides to the exhaust port. Further partitions 7<SP>1</SP> between the combustion chamber partition 7 and the enclosure 2 or within the chamber itself may also be provided (16, 17, Figs. 3, 4, not shown). The burner 12 may be mounted in a front door 13 extending the full height of the enclosure to enable access for cleaning. The liquid can flow through openings 11, Fig. 1, from the partitions 7, 7<SP>1</SP> to enclosure 2, 2<SP>1</SP>. A consumption liquid storage tank 3 may be provided.
