Abstract

131,167. Hoyle, J. K. Aug. 22, 1918. Rope grips.-A rope grip for use in overhead ropeway transporters comprises a spring clip a and a plate b which is mounted between the wings of the clip and is forced against the rope by a screw d. Slipping of the grip along the rope is prevented by the engagement of a tooth c on the plate b with one of the grooves in the rope. The grip is mounted between brackets e, f which also support the hanger pin g for the load.
