Abstract

115,535. MacLeod, J. T. June 30, 1917. Lever load-handling machines. - Shells, forgings, cases, casks, &c. P are engaged by lifting- tongs O, clamps, chain slings, &c. and lifted bv a chain F connected by a pin K to the pivoted lever G. The chain passes round a disk E which is mounted between plates A connected by an adjustable hanger C to a trollv running on an overhead runway. The load is sustained by t h e engagement of a spring bolt I with ratchet teeth D on the plates A.
