Abstract
157,506. Bour, P. L. Sept. 19, 1919. Hair-slides.-Relates to hair-slides with a pivoted pin engaging a hook at its free end and in which the pin or the hook must be pushed in the longitudinal direction of the pin against spring pressure for disengagement, and consists in arranging the spring longitudinally of the slide so that the hair is gripped between the spring and pin with the result that the thicker the tuft of hair the more secure the fastening. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the hook 2, 3 is fixed, the pin 9 is carried by a. frame 7 pivoted at 4, and the spring 18 bears against a heel 16 of the frame 7. In the form shown in Fig. 8, the hook 34 is pivoted at 35 and the spring 38 bears, against a heel 36 of the hook, the pin 41 being pivoted to the fixed standard 32. In the form shown in Fig. 9, the spring is pivoted to the hook and slides freely beneath the standard 52. The base of the slide is rigid and may be of waved or curved section.
