Abstract

247,444. Morse, J. J. June 10, 1925. Hook fastenings.- Necklaces and like articles of jewellery are provided at one end with a jump ring 10 which is permanently attached to the projecting portion 11 of a hook locking- member 4 after the member has been inserted in an oval-sectioned barrel member 1. The hook member is prevented from leaving the barrel by the bill 12 of the hook at one end and by the jump ring 10 at the other end, but is adapted to receive slight longitudinal movement in the barrel between the positions shown in Figs. 4, 5, respectively to permit a ring 14 carried at the free end of the necklace to be secured in the fastening.
