Abstract

330,808. Westman, C. J. F. July 19, 1929. Clamps, eccentric; clips and clamps, pivotedjaw.-A clip fastening for straps comprises a base member 1 with a slot 6 by which one end of the strap 5 is permanently secured to member 1, and a slot at the other end through which the free end 15 of the strap is passed adjacent to a jaw member 3 conveniently formed by a tongue stamped out of the slot. A pivoted jaw 4 bears against the strap under action of a spring 11. The strap may be drawn freely through the device by pulling the end 15, return movement being prevented by the wedge action of the pivoted jaw. Release is effected by depressing the end 10 of jaw 4.
