Clips and clamps, flexible-jaw and pivoted-jaw. -In a hose-suspender of the type having a clip carried by a depending strap of the suspender and adapted to be closed by a slide to grip the hose, the clip, which may be of flexible or hinged formation, is provided with apertures f through either of which the strip h is threaded so as to pass down between the clip jaws a, b. As shown, the strap is bent back upon itself to form a loop and is connected to a band g. The clip is thus adjustable along the strap and is secured in adjusted position by its gripping the strap, together with the upper edge of the hose, when the latter is inserted between the jaw a and the strap and the jaws are closed by moving the slider i downwards on to the clip. The slider is mounted on the strap h and is split at k to make it resilient. To increase the grip, each jaw of the clip has a stamped-up projection d entering a registering hole c in the other jaw, and projections m against which the slider bears.
