Abstract

337,282. Hingley, T. P. Jan. 6, 1930. Scaffolding. - A clamp for holding poles together at right-angles comprises a U-shaped sheet-metal portion A adapted to straddle one pole B and having inturned ends D shaped to fit the pole, the sides of the sheet-metal portion having curved apertures J to receive the other pole. The lower portions of the inturned ends are curled to form hinge portions H to which a lower clamping member K and a hinged securing bolt P are respectively attached. The clamping member has upturned side portions M and a slotted base for engagement by the hinged bolt.
