Clips, sheet-metal. - A clip for suspending placards so that the placard may be raised from .hanging position to allow window-cleaning &c. comprises two parts a, b hinged together at c. 'The part a has holes e for securing the device in place by screws &c., and may have bent-up prongs &c. adapted to be pressed into the woodwork as an alternative or additional means for securing in place. The part b has a pressed-out tongue f for gripping the placard &c. The clips are preferably used in pairs to support the placard d, Fig. 3. A wire or other spring may be associated with the hinge in known manner to prevent vibration &c.
