[Cognate Application No. 26,442, A.D. 1908, dated Dec. 7.] Curtains, suspending.-A device for hanging curtains or blinds comprises a bar a, Fig. 1, of wood, metal, &c. suspended by hooks or otherwise to the curtain rings or pole, or to the window frame, the bar being fitted with a number of horizontallydisposed spring clips c. The clips may consist of simple plates of metal or wood c, Fig. 1, attached to the bar or struck out of the bar, when this is of metal, or of wire spring clips c secured at d, as shown in Fig. 5 ; or of hinged clips c actuated by springs s, as shown in Fig. 8 ; or of spring plates c drawn to the bar by a spring s at the back, as shown in Fig. 12. A further form of spring clip is shown in Figs. 14 and 15, in which the spring c is pushed towards and drawn away from the bar for the attachment and detachment of the curtains. In this case there are two centre pins k which unite at the back ; the pins are notched at the sides so that when the spring is pushed in it is retained by the engagement of two prongs of the wire spring n in the notches. The bar a is jointed by lacing e, Fig. 1, at various points where it is required to conform to the angle of the window.
