[Class 44.] Hook fastenings for the straps of hose &c. suspenders have the hook a on one member A of ordinary form, and adapted to engage an L-shaped slot in a cross-bar b3 on the co-operating member B. Member B has a bar b to which one end of the strap, not shown, is secured, and a serrated bar b<5> round which the strap is passed. The central bar b<3> is pressed up out of the plane of the bars b. b5.
