Abstract

309,736. Gove, W. J., and Gove, H. E. April 12, 1828. Stair-carpet fasteners.-A clip for securing fabrics to surfaces lying at an angle to one another consists of a base member shaped to fit into the angle between the surfaces and a jaw pivoted to the base member so as to rock in a plane inclined to both surfaces, the fabric &c. being gripped between the base member and the jaw. In the construction shown the base member A is provided with recessed lugs B to removably and pivotally receive lugs E on the clamping jaw H which is provided with a screw F, cam device &c. by which the jaw H is pressed towards the base member to grip the fabric. The clips may be coloured.
