199,637. Krummenacher, J. Aug. 17, 1922. Stud-and-slot fastenings.-In a stud-andslot fastening in which the shank of the stud engages in an openended loop, the legs of the loop are cranked so that the head of the stud, when engaged, does not project beyond the plane of the securing eyes of the loop. The shank c of the stud a is forced past the legs b of the open end of the loop h and is held against accidental disengagement by the resiliency of the legs. These legs b are cranked at f to bring the plane of the securing eyes g above that of the loop h so that the head d of the stud does not project beyond the plane of the eyes g.
